Just looked at some of your links in more detail.

You seem to have a strong dislike for "The Left". Can you explain that to me?

I am a Christian and consider myself quite conservative. I like slow, incremental change. Impatience is the bane of foolish leadership.

You seem to have a strong interest in trans people. Why?

I don't know where you get the idea that I have a strong interest in trans people.

I have a strong dislike for the way the mainstream media manipulate the Left. I have described myself as a liberal libertarian for some time. I have never bought into the Global Warming hype, because I have a good science background. I favor nuclear energy over other alternatives. In 2005 I wrote several pieces for LewRockwell.com. One was called Liberals and Libertarians Unite. I don't like conservative economics. I like https://MythFighter.com on economics.

You aren't a liar are you? I think you do know where I got the idea that you have a strong interest in trans people.

Is it ok to bear false witness if it achieves a good goal? What would Paul say? What DID Paul say? Do you know?

I got the idea from all the links you shared about monitoring trans rights groups.

Who owns MSM? I am glad you know that MSM outlets like Fox News and CNN and Joe Rogan are manipulators by trade. I’m not sure you yet see who and how they manipulate or why. But if you stay nice and don’t evade my questions, we’ll get there.

Did you know Exxon paid scientists to evaluate Climate Change in the late 70s and early 80s? Do you know what those scientists found? Do you know how Exxon responded to their own internal report?

I don’t know what “Liberal Libertarian” even means. You’ll have to define it for me. I am a fan of what George Washington had to say about partisans and political parties. Like I said earlier, the love of money is the root of all evil and ideologies are its trunk.

Do you agree that the free exchange of ideas is an important foundation for any government which has any hope of moving us closer to Liberty and Justice for all?

Please answer all of my questions, don’t just pick and choose like those MAGAs who try to steer conversations away from uncomfortable truths.

Regarding monitoring trans rights groups, those were just video titles by Karlyn Borysenko. That's something she's concerned about. I'm a little concerned, since I think it's wrong to permanently change minors' sexual anatomy. I'm not greatly concerned, because I think it would be good to make it possible to have babies without pain, such as with artificial wombs etc.

People are free to answer or not answer other people's questions. I'll decide which questions I answer. I heard about the oil company's scientists. The school system is propaganda. Scientists spout propaganda like anyone else. Science is politicized by the government which funds much of science. Sudbury schools are among the best, because they let students decide for themselves what to study, if anything. Young students will listen to whatever older people discuss, but they need to become self-directed as soon as they can.

Free exchange is indeed important. From what I hear, fellow "liberals" are guilty of cancel culture, the opposite of free exchange.

So you are one of those people who try to steer conversations instead of engaging on all levels forthrightly? I'm disappointed in you.

You heard about it. Did you hear about their response to it? Did executives accept the findings as true or not in internal memos?

Yes, scientists are like any other sufficiently large group: good, bad, and ugly.

I agree that our education system is broken. Nearly half of Americans are functionally illiterate. I think the problem is that schools stopped teaching kids how and why to learn and started teaching kids what to learn. What do you think the problem is?

I agree with you here: "young students will listen to whatever older people discuss, but they need to become self-directed as soon as they can."

When you say fellow "liberals", you're talking about yourself - right? I am very conservative in that I favor slow, incremental change over fast, destructive change.

I don't understand what you mean by "cancel culture". I have been kicked off several social media sites - as is their right as private businesses. I disagree with those sites - I always try to stay polite and respectful and honest, but private businesses can moderate their users however they wish.

Did you see Musk booted Trump over that whole Epstein spat?

If the Epstein allegations against Trump are true - would you still support him?

You believe very differently than Jesus taught.

If I believed the opposite of what Jesus taught but wanted to call myself Christian, I wouldn’t want to discuss further either. I would also, like you, get very irritated at anyone who did want to talk about Jesus.

May I suggest that instead of stalking trans people online you spend a little more time with the Gospel? Of course, we both know you’ll keep ignoring that plank which clouds your vision. Good luck.

Len - Do you want a leader who wants the USA to worship him the way North Koreans are forced to worship their leader? I do not.

Please - if you feel called to - answer my gospel questions before this one. But I also want to know if you think it's good to have a leader who forces citizens to worship him.

Len - did you watch this? I just saw it recently. If I saw it when it came out, I don't recall - so much has happened. This was pre-Covid.

Do you want to be like North Korea? I don't.

I know a lot of Christians have been deceived into thinking he's good for the country, and some even think he is akin to Christ. More think he's like David. David ruined his nation in the Bible before he found repentance, and even then, he cursed his family. Comparing him to Jesus just shows how many people don't know Jesus.

Tell me, how can I gain eternal life?

I don't trust any public figure, esp. politicians and mainstream sources. I supported RFK Jr for President, although I don't entirely trust him either. I don't believe there's any credible evidence that Trump is a Nazi. There's way more evidence that he's a Zionist, supposedly the opposite of a Nazi, although Netanyahu acts about as Fascist as anyone. I'm afraid that RFK Jr is also a Zionist. But I don't want to jump to conclusions.

I think Sociocracy is the answer to major global societal corruption and plutocracy. I believe Marxism etc were invented by the plutocrats to divert people away from representative or self-government, which need to be improved anyway by Sociocracy.

There are a lot of mainstream infotainment sources that are pretending to be anti-MSM these days. You can spot them by how well funded they are, which usually comes with slick production value. If they don’t tell you how they pay for the splashy cut scenes or perfect podcast audio - there is a reason.

Are you curious about sociocracy? Have you heard of it?

Expand full comment
Letters from Rural America's avatar

I am curious how to defend the constitution in the face of a man who brazenly violates the emoluments clauses and the 5th Amendment.

I've heard of sociology - the study of human societies. Don't have much interest in any ocracy except pluralistic representative democracy, where the ideologues can debate and try to win people over through strength of moral clarity and intellectualism instead of deploying the military against dissenters.

The root of all evil is the love of money. You can spot lovers of money by their hoards of money. Money is a tool. Fascists use money as a tool of power.

The trunk of all evil (me chiming in on the Good Book) is ideology. Never be so committed to an idea that you think the ends justify the means.

Ex: I believe in Jesus' teachings, which includes how to show people the proverbial door and then a reminder that it's up to them to knock.
